According to a study from the Advertising Specialty Institute, about 57% of U.S. consumers feel more favorable about businesses who gave them a branded, custom tee.

Promotional Shirts Create a Long Lasting Impression.

The same ASI study found that people all over the country will remember a business if they see it on their shirt. In the Midwest, a whopping 95% of people will remember a company if they see their logo or name on shirt. The region with the worst response was the Southeast. That being said, 81% of people there — more than four out of five — will remember a company they see on a shirt.

Tee Shirts Are More Effective Than TV Ads.

According to another study done by MarketingSherpa, about 76.1% of consumers could remember a company from a promotional item they’d seen in the past year. Only 53% could remember a company from a TV or print ad in the past month.

Basically, the reason so many companies give promotional shirts away is because they work. They’re an impressively effective form of marketing, and they leave an impressively long lasting impression.
